Richard is the Managing Director and owner of KSL.

Passionate about the industry and its future, Richard was invited to become Ambassador for the National Training Group of the home specialists association, the KBSA. He is the only retailer in the country to be involved in shaping the future of kitchen and bathroom training and design along with CEOs of major companies and university course leaders. Added to this in 2017 Richard was elected National chair of the Kbsa and has been instrumental in growing and updating the trade association in a role he still holds.

Joining his father’s business from the ground up, Richard’s knowledge of the industry began when he would join the fitters on site to experience their work first hand.

Now Managing Director of KSL, Richard is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and is often called upon by the industry press to write articles and act as industry spokesperson.

He is also driven to meet customers’ needs for stylish, elegant but homely products by making sure KSL remain leaders in creativity, quality and design.

Thanks to Richard’s knowledge and experience of the industry, he has been invited to give a talk at the Grand Design Live show, offer one-to-one consultations at the National Homebuilding Show, become a regular National Industry Awards judge and work as a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry consultant.

Having originally trained as a chef, in his spare time Richard shares his love of food and cooking with his family and is a fully qualified football coach.
