The owner of a detached house in Haverhill needed a new fitted bedroom that would provide coordinated furniture with adaptable storage in a clean and neutral design.

Challenge

As part of the refurbishment of her entire home, our client wanted a new contemporary bedroom design that would create a calm and organised space. Functionality was key to the brief, the new bedroom needed to provide adaptable storage solutions to enable everything in the room to have its own place.

Solution

With adaptability of storage for clothes being key, we suggested Mereway’s fitted wardrobe furniture system with a mix of full height and double hanging space as well as internal drawers. The ‘Elise’ matt foil door from Mereway’s Trend Bedrooms range in ‘Cashmere’ offers the perfect clean and neutral palette that the client was hoping for.

Inside the wardrobes, there is a stylish full length pull-out mirror that pulls out and pivots to 180 degrees which can be put back away inside the wardrobe when not in use. The internal drawers provide additional storage space to the matching set of drawers for the Television. There is also a dressing table from the same range with matching chair with beech legs in ‘Emporio’ fabric colour.

The bedside tables have trays in the top drawer which provide additional surface area for drinks. There are glass tops on both the bedside tables and dressing table in a subtle matt finish to protect them from damage.

“The client is really happy with her new bedroom. It functions well and it feels like a calm and organised space. She is particularly pleased with the mixture of hanging space in the wardrobes and the adaptability of the storage system.”
