In the first of our new series, KSL’s design team share some of the things that have caught their eye recently. This time we’re sharing our favourite products out there for making your bedroom a better place to sleep. Be prepared to be inspired!

Steve Clarke’s favourite: Trend Interiors Sofia Shaker Door

“I recently noticed that Trend Interiors have brought a new 3 panel shaker door. The Sofia door is a great addition to the range as it’s premium quality and has a classic yet contemporary look. I expect this door will be popular because it would look great in both period and more contemporary homes. It’s available in standard sizes or can be ordered bespoke to fit any space or wardrobe carcass. It comes in a range of colours but is being showcased in ‘Dust Grey’ which is also a new colour in the range. This is a classic, simple design that looks really effective.”

Katy Pearson’s favourite: Battery Operated, Rechargeable Lighting

“Something our customers might not know about is that there is a range of LED lighting accessories that don’t need wiring in, are easy to use and can be installed into bedroom cupboards, wardrobes and drawers. They add helpful illumination which is activated by movement, such as your hand reaching in or the opening of a drawer. They’re a perfect solution for people who have to get up early and don’t want to disturb other people sleeping as well as adding an atmospheric touch to a room. The range from Trend Bedrooms are battery operated and and rechargeable and only need charging up every six months or so. I’d highly recommend you take a look.”

Rebecca Brown’s favourite: Karndean Art Select Parquet Flooring

“Texture is really important in a bedroom as it helps to create a cosy and calm environment. Karndean’s new Art Select parquet flooring range is lovely alternative to carpet. It comes in a number of different style and colours. Spring Oak is my favourite as it’s a warm colour and a more unusual style of parquet. People seem to automatically think of using carpet in a bedroom, but if you like wooden flooring you can add a rug for a bit of extra comfort if that’s important to you. Wooden flooring also on trend at the moment as we are being encouraged to use materials made from natural materials for wellbeing. It’s also easy to maintain, making it an even better choice.”
