Our Kitchen Designers, Katy Pearson and Rebecca Reynolds both enjoyed success in the highly competitive Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) annual national design awards on 27th September. Katy was Runner Up for the Bathroom Designer of the Year and Rebecca won the Bathroom Concept Designer of the Year accolade. This is the second time that KSL’s designers have been winners at these prestigious industry design awards.
The KBSA is the only national trade association for the interiors industry, bringing together more than 300 accredited independent retailers. Its logo is used by trusted kitchen, bathroom and bedroom designers and installers, including KSL, to give customers the peace of mind that the company meets the high standards of quality and service set by the KBSA.
“I am delighted to have been Runner Up for the Bathroom Designer of the Year, said Katy Pearson. “What makes a difference to me is that the award was based on a real project that I delivered. It’s nice to know that a bathroom design that I achieved recognition for, is being enjoyed and appreciated by one of our customers.”
“It’s very exciting to have won Bathroom Design Concept of the Year”, said Rebecca. “The award is really tricky to win because everyone who enters is judged on a level playing field. We are given a brief to work to and that’s it, it comes down to your own individual design concept. We’ve been doing more bathroom design at KSL this year, so it feels great to have won and be recognised for bathroom design particularly.”
The judges commented that Rebecca’s entry ‘created a very stunning and creative design using materials to enhance and create various stations, but all working in harmony with each other – a superb concept.’
”It’s an enormous achievement for Katy, Rebecca and the company”, said our Managing Director, Richard Hibbert. ”We place great importance on design at KSL so It is great to see our designers achieve recognition for their design excellence by our industry piers. KSL is a small independent business so to win such a prestigious national award is something we can all be proud of.”
